A former real estate agent and a dedicated philanthropist, Joe Loiacano
flipped houses for profit during the peak of the housing bubble. At one
point, Joe Loiacano had acquired 17 rental properties and was successfully
buying and selling realty around the country. Wanting to try something new,
Joe Loiacano spent a night living on Los Angeles' Skid Row, a section
frequented by the city's homeless population. The experience of living
among those with much less than him changed Joe Loiacano's life. A few
years later, while living in Las Vegas, Joe Loiacano made helping the
homeless of the Nevada city one of his prerogatives. Starting a tradition
called "Operation Beat the Streets," Joe Loiacano spent several holidays
passing out goodies from the trunk of his car, often having a line of over
200 people waiting to receive his generous gifts. In 2007, Joe Loiacano
embarked on a new venture in the field of offshore outsourcing. Joe
Loiacano's goal was to establish a consultancy to help businesses
effectively use talented overseas employees. Spending four months learning
about international business in the Philippines, Joe Loiacano returned
stateside to start a small enterprise outsourcing company called SBO
Outsourcing. Joe Loiacano is currently President of SBO Outsourcing, a firm
that implements web-based audio and video systems to help companies train
new employees overseas. Through SBO Outsourcing, Joe Loiacano also develops
project management structures to ease international team interaction. Joe
Loiacano is experienced at employing, educating, and supervising virtual
teams in countries ranging from China to India, the Philippines, Vietnam,
and Hungary. Joe Loiacano has a background in aiding companies in managing
nearshoring and offshoring projects. An ex-Marine, Joe Loiacano
participated in "Operation Southern Watch" in 1995 in the Persian Gulf.
Shortly after the Marines, Joe Loiacano fought fires in the Greater Los
Angeles Area. Graduating from Foothill Fire Academy in La Verne,
California, Joe Loiacano operated as a reserve firefighter and EMT. A
former Marine Corps boxing member, Joe Loiacano has a penchant for
high-intensity sports and enjoys skydiving and bungee jumping.
